ABBOTT PRISM Director Intended Use
The ABBOTT PRISM Director is a computer system that assists laboratories by managing the sample test and retest function (test management) for multiple ABBOTT PRISM Systems. The ABBOTT PRISM Director allows the user to view sample results while the ABBOTT PRISM instrument is processing samples. The ABBOTT PRISM Director also provides a central location to obtain ABBOTT PRISM instrument reports.
The next generation of sample retest management and custom reporting
ABBOTT PRISM Director provides Initial Reactive (IR) and Repeat Reactive (RR) sample testing history reports. The ABBOTT PRISM Director also provides a central location to obtain ABBOTT PRISM reports and collects and tracks test results for each sample tested while maintaining a repository for ABBOTT PRISM Reports and Event Logs. A compatible laboratory computer system can be interfaced with the Director in order to obtain PRISM results and to send test order information for each sample. ABBOTT PRISM Director can generate reports (Calibration, Group, Assay, Sample, Group Retest, Sample Retest and Resource) - for up to eight ABBOTT PRISM instruments and create reactivity and trend charts while PRISM is processing samples.
System Overview
- Collects and stores batch and sample data for up to eight ABBOTT PRISM instruments.
- Transfers batch data and group results to files stored on a local shared network drive.
- Maintains a repository for data from each interfaced ABBOTT PRISM.
- Exports Director reports to CD or a shared network drive.
- Contains file manager which allows access to historical data.
- Allows batches to be resent to the host computer while PRISM is processing samples.
- Creates standard ABBOTT PRISM reports and allows user to customize reports
- Generates reports based on released results and provides active reporting while instruments are processing samples
- Provides Initial Reactive (IR) and Repeat Reactive (RR) sample testing history reports
- Allows reports to be saved to different media types including CD-RW, or shared network drive in (.pdf), (.xls) and (.html) format.
- Contains file management features to access and report historical data
- Provides user-friendly graphical interface
- Includes reporting of HBsAg Confirmatory Assay results
